Here are some search tips to keep in mind when searching for a property record.
Search Form
Click on the tab for the preferred method to search (either Owner , Property or Legal).
Owner Search: Last Name, First Name, Mailing Address, City, State, Zip Code,
Municipality and Tax Year.
Property Search: Property Address (House Number, Prefix Direction, Street,
Type, and Suffix Direction), Municipality, Parcel Number, Computer Number and
Tax Year.
Legal Search: Plat Name, Lot, Block, Section/Town/Range (Section, Town, Town
Direction, Range, Range Direction, Quarter(160) and Quarter-Quarter(40)) and Tax Year.No matter which type of search you choose, you must enter search criteria into at least one field before performing a search.
You may not search for records using only Tax Year and/or Municipality when using the Owner Search form. Additionally, you may not perform a Property Search using only Tax Year, the first of the three Computer Number fields, and/or Municipality. Nor may you make a Legal Search using only Tax Year, Town Direction, and/or Range Direction.
Do not use " or ' quotation marks in your search.
Searching is not case sensitive. Searching for a Last Name of JOHNSON or johnson will produce the same search results.
Search results are returned in order by Last Name and then First Name. For example:
Johns, Sue
Johnson, Adam
Johnson, Bob
Johnson, Kathy
Johnston, AndrewInclude as much information at possible in order to narrow your search results. You will broaden the results of your search if less information is entered.
Search Results: List
Only the first ten property records are listed on the Search Results List. If your search produces more than ten results, they are listed on subsequent pages. These pages are accessed by the use of Previous and Next links (located at both the top and bottom of this page), as well as a list of Page Numbers at the bottom.
Additionally, if more than twenty Result Pages (more than 200 Property Record matches) are produced, a Previous 20 Pages and Next 20 Pages link will be displayed at the bottom of the page.

Search Fields
Each search field is one of two types, either a Like or an Is field.
A Like field (ie. Last Name) will search for matches that start with your criteria. If, for example, you type john in the Last Name field, your search will find all records where the property owner's Last Name begins with john, including names like Johnson and Johnston.
An Is (or Equal) field (ie. Tax Year) will search for matches that are equal to or exactly match your search criteria. A search on 19 in the Tax Year field will only find records for the tax year 19.
For a complete list and explanation of each search field, please see our Terms and Definitions page.Back and Forward Buttons
Please keep in mind that the Back and Forward Buttons on some browsers do not work as expected. Most users will find they are able to use the Back Button to, for example, go back to the Search Results List after viewing a Property Record. Some, however, will receive a "You have not entered any search criteria" error message.
If this happens, use the Previous and Next links at the top and bottom of this search rather than your browsers Back and Forward. In addition, you may use the Return to Search Results link at the bottom of the Search Results and Property Record pages. No Search Results Found
If you are searching for a Property Record and you have having trouble locating it, here are some things to keep in mind.
Only include information in your search you know to be correct.
If you are sure of a Property Owner's Last Name, for example, but only think you know their First Name, then just search on their Last Name.
Also keep in mind you do not have to put search criteria into each field. Doing so may make it more difficult to locate the property for which you are searching. Try searching for for records using just one search criteria (ie. Last Name) if you continue to have difficulties finding a property record.
Printing Your Results
If you wish to Print a copy of any Property Records you have found, you may wish to do so in Landscape mode. Depending on how your local printer is set up, if you don't print in Landscape mode some of the information may be cut off. Consult your Printer Documentation if you are unsure on how to change your Printer to Landscape mode.
